She is still what we call a little "floppy" compared to Kaleb at this age, but she is slowly getting more and more steady. She can hold her head up when you are holding her, but she still hates tummy time. She can't really lift her head up when she is in that position and usually ends up crying and burying her face on the floor. She is however very expressive, always cooing, singing, laughing, smiling, etc.
But really the most amazing thing is how well and how much she sleeps! She goes to bed around 8 or 9 and sleeps until any where from 6-8 in the morning! How awesome is that?? She also takes a couple of long naps during the day, mostly in her swing, which she has come to love!
Kaleb is his normal precious self, learning and exploring new things every day. He has become a lot more affectionate with me and I am just eating it up. It seemed I was losing him for a minute there but I've got my little boy back! He still loves all his books, and now he will bring one to me and get up in my lap for me to read it to him. I know these days are potentially numbered so I make sure to take advantage of every minute! He has a lot of books with removable pieces and his big thing now is taking them out and having me help him put them back in. He does this over and over all day with all 4 of the books that are like that. It is obviously a little monotonous but I love it all the same.
He knows just about all his body parts: head, eyes, nose, ears, mouth, feet. His little brain is like a sponge so we work on learning different things every day.
He is still great with Kelby. And she absolutely loves him! She just simply cannot take her eyes off of him when he is in her line of sight. He loves to put her paci in her mouth and a couple of days ago I caught him trying to give her a pretzel! Precious of him but obviously something I need to be on the lookout for.
Tonight I simultaneously gave Kaleb a bath and nursed Kelby so I guess you can say I'm finally really getting the hang of being Mommy to 2 under 2!
Lou has been working so hard and just found out he should be going to California in August for his opportunity at finally becoming promotable to top dog. I am so proud of how hard he has worked to get to this level, while at the same time coming home and making every minute with his family count! The kids just adore him, especially Kaleb of course, and I feel like the luckiest woman in the world to have him as my husband!
I have 2 beautiful children, a wonderful (& handsome) husband...what more could a girl want?!
Here are some pix of the kids today...
