1st beach outing!

Yes, yes, here is the ugly truth. We live in Florida, and our kids, 2 1/2 years and 14 months, just had their 1st day at the beach yesterday!

It's not as if they've had a lack of experiences in their life, but this is one we just never got around to doing yet. Lou and I love the beach but I think we probably got our fill of them living on the islands for 2 years which is why we hadn't been back to one yet.

But it was awesome, needless to say...we were at Sunset Beach celebrating Nana's 83rd b-day. We cooked out hot dogs and chicken wings, and had lots of toys and buckets to play with. Kaleb was an angel, seemingly knowing his limits with the water and how far to wander off. Probably a first time fluke. Kelby was fearless as usual, running out into the water until she fell down and just missed a pretty large spider crab. We caught it in a bucket for a photo op and then promptly put him back in the water. We counted all of Kelby's toes too and they're all still there!

Here's a slide of some pix...
