When it was our turn, Kaleb was really tantruming, not walking, and I'm sure it looked horrible as I was practically dragging him by his arm up the ramp, and Lou was shaking his head and bascially saying just forget about it.
Then it was like he just snapped (in a good way) and he met eyes with Santa and it was all hugs and smiles from then on. I was really glad I "encouraged" him to go up because he didn't stop talking about it for the rest of the day/night.
Kelby of course was stoked, she couldn't wait to run up to him and say "hiiiiiiiii". She started getting really squirrley on Santa's lap and Santa was like "a little help Mommy?". I set her on his chair next to him and then she absolutely refused to smile for the picture. Kaleb was sooooo precious and smiling such a beautiful smile and Kelby was just looking so stoic. So I asked her the only think I knew would elicit a guaranteed response, "how old are you?". She LOVES telling you that. So of course she pepped right up and shouted "I'M ONE!!!". So we got a really animated looking smile from Kelby and unfortunately just a slight grin at that time from Kaleb, but it's still cute.
We have such great experiences from all the years visiting Santa that I think I'm going to start a little book just of those stories!
Here are the pix...
Kelby getting antsy, Kaleb just smiling away!
Trying to get the kids situated
Santa looks wore out doesn't he?
Kelby giving "attitude", Kaleb not wanting to go see Santa
